Knowing Nanny supports agencies, families, and carers by providing a truly objective approach to childcare selection. We provide personality profiles of potential caregivers and help to identify the people traits that families are looking for.
Knowing Nanny has leveraged scientifically-proven psychometric assessments to look objectively beyond the interview to identify a caregiver with the energy, ability and passion to care for children. We address the challenge of evaluating “the fit” of a potential caregiver, distinguishing between genuine character traits vs. high-quality interviewing skills. An interview process can be fairly subjective and although agencies and families will normally assess skills and experience fairly accurately, much can still be left to gut instinct. Knowing Nanny aims to provide measurable, objective data that can provide a better all-round view of a nanny’s suitability.
Because our personality profiles are accessed online, they can be quick and easy to integrate into any stage of the hiring process. We can also easily integrate into an ATS system.
Stage 1: Identify The Kind Of Nanny Needed For Your Family
One of the big mistakes parents make is failing to carefully consider their needs before setting out to find a nanny then picking the wrong kind of nanny. It’s really important for families to think about and identify what it is they are looking for and the type of nanny they need. Will this individual be doing sole care, working with a parent at home, expected to do all parenting duties? Will this person need to be fun, lively, creative, structured? Make a checklist of essential qualities you are looking for and then move to the next step.
Stage 2: Decide How You Wish To Find The Ideal Nanny
It’s important to decide how you wish to find your next nanny. You can start your nanny search by asking friends and family for recommendations; by going online to caregiver listings websites, local message boards and college job boards; or by registering with a nanny placement agency. Some families prefer to use a well known nanny agency, some use social platforms and word of mouth. Whether you are working with a nanny agency or finding a nanny on your own, Knowing Nanny can support any situation.
